First letter from Armenia!

I love it here! It's so much fun! You all have no idea. So not a big shocker I slept the whole way to Armenia and then the mission president let us sleep for a while longer. Then he took us to look around Armenia, and we saw the heart of Armenia the geniside and the Apistolic temple. We had to take our name tag off for that but it was cool. Then they let us sleep some more and we got up the next day and met our trainers "our mommies" lol Its fun how they make this like a whole family thing.

THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD they didn't tell me this till I got here but my name is to hard to say in Armenian so they changed it to Fergie! No joke I'm Queer Fergie!!!! I've never been so happy! So I would just like you all to know I am the Fergie Ferg lol :)

So they have this thing called a marshrutni and it's like a normal van with 3 or 4 seat in the very back and one seat on one side and two small seats on the other with a "walk way" down the middle and you just pile in and go. Well my teacher told us that the biggest one he had gone in had 22 ppl :) I beat that! We had 30 people! How crazy! no need to even try to stand up. You're just held up without trying and I was by the door. THERE WERE TO MANY PEOPLE TO SHUT THE DOOR!!! So I wasn't one of the people that were hanging out of the van but I was close I held on to my comp so hard lol it was so much fun!!!

So here blond hair and blue eyes are really really pretty. Like the boys just don't know what to do with themselves. The problem comes that every where I go we have problems where we get a lot of the bad kind of attention. we're careful as soon as it gets dark we put our hair under a hat and if any of our appointments cancel on us we have to just go home we cant stay out. So I'm going to see if it dies down a little. I'm new to the town and they should start leaving us alone if not I'll end up dying my hair dark so I'll blend in a little better.

My apartment is really big compared to the rest of Gymeri. The place I'm in now is where the big earth quake came in 88 so you can look up what it looks like here. It's so pretty! You remember the movie 'Little Lord Fauntleroy'? It looks just like that. The pictures that I saw of Anna Pew, I'm in the same place that she went :) I love it!!

If you want to know what the toilet paper looks like here go to your nearest party store and get some brown or gray crate paper and ya that what we use ... no joke its crate paper. ... works better than you would think lol.

It's nadari here and that is their big holiday! like they take out loans to pay for this holiday and it takes them all year to pay it off. It's from the 1st to the 12th with Christmas on the 6th but Armenian people can't just not feed you so we get so much Doma and bread... and pastries. If you don't get food they fill your plate ... or if you do get food they fill it fuller and you have to eat or they get offended... I got sick at my first house but It only lasted that day and now I'm ready for round ...12 million! Every house feeds us so much!! My comps said that after the 13th they don't feed ya as much.

This is how it works. They put all their food out on there table and keep it ready for people to come over so if some should show up they can seat them and feed them right then and there. So all their meat cheese and EVERYTHING is put on the table on the 1st and on the 13th they clean it. They don't put the meat away or anything the Elders ate over 12 hr chicken the other day lol. I pray so hard on my food and hope the meat is warm ... it never is but I haven't gotten too sick yet... Dad you would die!!! And all ya have is crate paper if you do get sick so I'm very glad I haven't but I have faith it will happen soon lol :)

we have water where I am and it's warm blessedly warm. Not everywhere has warm water to bathe in.

The spirit is so strong here! I love the people so much, they really have a love for the gospel and they're so ready. I didn't understand their testimonies but I could still feel the spirit so strong! The bishop had me stand up and bare my testimony it went well and I look forward to doing it again. It's to the point I can understand little kids that don't talk fast. But my comp... I'm still working on knowing what shes saying if I try really hard I can a little. Well need to get going. Love you tons Queer Fergie

Mom I'm being way safe no worries for me love you
