Merry Christmas! This is the last MTC letter...

So I just got on my email at two and read the email that said mom was coming to drop off the box. I have never wanted to run up to the front so much!!! LOL but I can't so I didn't but I still really want to!!!

Hey so the scarfs are wonderful! I got Jennies box and Mom's box the same day and I did the funniest happy dance when I saw all the scarfs. It's like getting new clothes!! best thing ever!!! Thanks to everyone you all have taken such good care of me! love you lots.

This week has been so good!!! I love that the MTC is so wonderful. Tuesday we had Elder Anderson come and talk to us. After, my companions and I were waiting outside so we could watch him walk to his car. There were about 15 of us. He saw us waiting in the snow just to say hi to him so he came over and SHOOK ALL OF OUR HANDS!!!! He had us tell him where we were going. Not going to lie, so so much fun!!!

And to add to the coolness yesterday my Companion's aunt gave her their family history (her grandma is Armenian) and gave some maps where they lived and stuff. Well Elder Reece looked at the chart and saw that his 6th great Grandpa Baptized Sister Corwell's family back in Turkey. How crazy is that!!! Now were all serving together! The Lord gives so many miracles in our lives when we obey. I love it!

So my flight leaves SLC at 1:45 PM and we get to Chicago (chicago time) 6:05 PM then we leave chicago at 8:25 pm and get to LONDON 9:05 Am (london time) then we have a lay over till 4:45 pm and we arrive in Armenia Yerevan 1:45 am !!!!!!! the 30th just in time to start celebrating new years and on Jan 6th is their Christmas. So I get two!!! love my life. It's like it never ends. Our teachers told us that this time of year they have the best food, so go hungry! They wont stop feeding you so we had a class on how to make it look like your eating when your not. lol I loved it. I'm so excited to leave and really start helping the people and I'm happy to say I weigh the same as I did as when I got here .... it's harder than it sounds to do that!

Well got to go love you tons talk to you Monday!!!! Love Sister Ferguson
P.S. I'll be sending a box or two home and yes mom I'm sending back the army boots. My comps wont let me take them lol I wonder why?..... lol

And don't send me any more DearElders to the MTC or mail, it wont get to me so send it to Armenia love love

Merry Christmas!!!

Hey fam!!! Hope all is well.
The Christmas is going good, my teeth are doing well, hope all is well with you. You'll have to tell me how the roof is doing... Hey so mom I could use a hat mittens the kind you can uncover just your fingers, and if the scarf matches thats ok :) grey is also good. so sorry this week I don't have a lot of time to write but next week I should have more time than I know what to do with! They'll give us a P-day and on the 25th we get time to write home but we don't get to call. That will be ok I'll call home the 29th we should get our fight plans this week!!! only 12 more days.
So the language is coming really nicely. I am so ready to get out and go!!! I really feel so prepared, I still am studying hard but if I left tomorrow I would do just fine.
Thanks for all your prayers, letters, and packages they are so much fun. My comp had to hide the 3rd day gift so I wouldn't open it ... There might have been a peep hole in it before she took it away...
oh mom I'm sending home the boots but I think I'll just get some in Armenia but I'll let you know if there is anything I need. If you find really thick tights I could use some but for normal tights I have enough.
It was so good to go to the temple today the spirit there is so strong! It made me sad to think that it will be over a year before I get to go back. I feel the need to warn you now, the first few days I get home I might just be chilling in the temple... :) it will wonderful!!!

Week 6 or 7?

Hey How is everyone doing?
this week has been so so good. I'm happy to tell you my teeth are feeling fine I do have to go back some more sorry for all the hassle that is for you Mom hope it's not too bad.
I got the packages you sent, all the food was much in joyed! say a huge thanks to the Chadwicks for me they really are the coolest people ever!
I'm excited it's been 6 months ago today that I got my call!It seems like forever.
So last night at the TRC I practiced teaching with a Sister that got back from her mission a year or so ago it went really well. Right before we went in she told me that I would be teaching all of it and I had only helped my comps teach the Plan of Salvation once in Armenian. But the Lord does provide. I had no idea I know that much in Armenian I talked for a good 25 min it was the scariest thing I've done but so good. I still need to work on my grammer but I know I can get that down by the time I leave the MTC.
I got a letter from Sister Fisher she is one of the Queers (sister in Armenian). She is serving in Armenia and is one of the trainers she welcomed me and my comps to the mission. We couldn't sleep that night we were so excited!!!! I'm ready. I want to get out there!!! I still love the MTC but I know that there are people over there that need to know. So all I can do is work my heart out till I get there so I can talk to them when I'm there :) I know this is where I need to be and I'm looking forward to when I see all of you and can teach you as well. I hope that all is going well.
Mom - I'm glad that you got some shopping done for x-mas it sounds like a fun thing. They want me to tell you that I cant call home on the 25th but no worries I can call the 29th at the air port. I'll let you know when we get flight plans.

Oh and NO BED BUGS!!!! That week was one of the weeks that ya just start praying hard and know that God really is in control of all the things that happened. I know God was getting it all, keeping me safe.

well sorry this is short I do love you and hope all goes well love love queer Ferguson

Week 5

hey family how is everyone? so I want to hear about how everyone's thanksgiving was, and what your all doing for Christmas :)

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I know I had the biggest and best week ever! I had no idea God could stretch me so far and still feel like I could some how take more lol. I'll start by telling you what happened in ones weeks time. We had two apostles come to talk to us. I got full on tackled playing volleyball. I had to sit out the rest of the game my ankle was hurt but I was able to walk it off. Then the next day I fell down the stairs, it wasn't to bad I just had to pray standing up for a few days and I'll take a picture of my knee and send it to you it looks so COOL!!! not as cool and when I ran into the cement wall but still good. Then my tooth started hurting I couldn't smile on the left side or really sleep on it. It was weird to be so swollen, but the lord was helping me all the way and I was able to find Ice randomly in the mtc and that made my knee feel better, and at that time I was like sweet i'm doing good I know God is there for me. Then my Roommate (the girl that has the bunk right above me) got BED BUGS!!!! like holy scary she got them here somehow she thinks it was the bed ... I slept in that bed for 3 weeks before her!!!! I have never before said such a heart felt prayer of thanks like that (well a close second when Rebecca.. fell down the stairs on Christmas last year I might have prayed harder of a thanks that she wasn't hurt) but anyway I really was thankful that I didn't get them at all sleeping on that bed and sleeping below her the week she had them it really was a miracle. All though the week I just kept getting closer to God knowing he was looking after me. Every time I started to think how much he has blessed me and keep me from its crazy that people doubt that he's here.
The weirdest thing I got to leave the MTC twice on Tuesday and I'm going again today. When my comps and I when to Rite Aid to get me some drugs after the Dentist it was so funny. We were the weirdest people you have ever seen! My comp sister Cornwell keep asking if we could teach people and so we would walk around trying to find some one to teach ended up finding the Mission Prez wife in Rite Aid lol. We didn't end up finding anyone but we were really happy to try to teach. After Tuesday it really hit that I'm a going to Armenia in less than a month!!! how crazy is that?! I really still have a lot to work on with the language but it is coming I'll have it soon enough.
I know that God is with all of you too, there is no way I would be ok leaving all of you with out a full knowledge that you would be taken care of!
Thank you all for your prayers and love I feel it so strong even from Provo. Know that I love all of you and really hope that you to can feel the love that Savior has for all of us. sorry this is short I'm going to the Dentist soon so I don't have a lot of time to write love love you fav. Missionary Sister Ferguson....

Ps I was able to say hi to David a few times but he left this week.

Happy Thanksgiving Family !!!! 11-26-09

How is every one doing? I hope your all having a good week. Thanksgiving here is really odd. Normally we have a P-day to wash our things but this week we get two apostles instead lol. I think its a good swap! So Just be glad I'm not there I'm just about out of clean cloths so I would stink any way :) My week has been good my comps aren't sick any more so that a blessing! Life at the mtc is fun. We have a lot of fun but we work so hard at the same time. I had no idea I could get so much done with my day by 8:30, I cram so much I Love it! the language is coming along nicely. We teach in Armenian and I was telling the "investigator" what foods I like and dislike. So I toled them I love Veggies he started laughing so hard... my comp started to talk and pointed to me and said you mixed up the words for Vegies with the word for Wine! lol so I had to hurry and correct myself and let them known I did not like wine but it was really funny. Earlier she had meant to say God gave J.S. mormons book and said God gave J.S. Mormon's flu.. lol I love Armenian it's so much fun I really see the gift of tounges in my life I have no idea how it comes but it does I work hard and God does the rest. LOVE Him!!!!
on Tuseday Elder Oaks came to talk to us. He talked that we all need to become not just achieve. We need to have a vision of who we are and what we are called to do. Plus get something to happen within ourselves (a mighty change of heart) mainly that we put ourselves aside and do the Lords will. We do a Review on firesides and Elder Frost one of our Elders who is going Greece, he's Danish he said "Don't just have Christs name on our hearts" pointing to his name tag. "but have it written on our hearts so that when people see us they know that this is the true church." How true that is they told us here that 1 in every 10 people that join the church knew in the first min that the church was true just because of how that missionaries look... How cool is that it also lets me know that the way we present ourselves is so important!!! Not just for the missionaries with the tag but all the members as well.
Holland talked to us today. He has a wonderful spirit about him he had all of us write down questions a week or two ago and he answered some of them today it was really cool just some of the things that were on people's minds. He focused on families and how wonderful there are and told us that we need to be homesick so that we will get a taste of the love Heavenly father has for us and how great the joy will be when we go back to live with him. It put it in a new light for me. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and Wants to see us again, I feel it with all my heart. they say you never stop being converted and thats so true I now know enough to know that I don't know much about the true love of God. I feel him so close, some times at night as I'm going to sleep I can feel his love for me so real I swear I would reach out and grab it. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the one and only true church and that God is running it him self.
thanks for all you do for me and I hope that this Thanksgiving is good to you. I feel truly blessed to be here during the holidays it really does have a special spirit to it. Love you forever have a good one -Sister Ferguson :)
Dad your b-day card is in the mail hope it gets there in time thanks for the packages they were the BOM love love you all rock my world hope to hear from you soon!

Week 3!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PICS!!!!! they were so wonderful I just cant say how much I loved it.

Every thing here is wonderful like normal. Mom Ether 12:4 is the scripture that I would like on my plaque. OH so the tape Lori sent me .. LOL there was a 45 second silent part so I thought it was done and It wasn't till I got Dad's letter and he said he talked on it that I went back and listened to the rest so Sunday I got a really nice treat to listen to the rest. It turned out to be so good I was having just a hard day and I was able to listened To Rebecca's part of the tape made me cry but made my day all the same and It was just when I really needed a pick me up. So thanks for sending it to me and showing all your love. And yes mom I did take the boots. My Comp told me I have to send them home, she was mortified that I took army boots... little does she know lol.

I know this church is so true and has blessed my life so much!! I have been pushed farther than I ever thought but once I put myself aside and let the Lord take the lead everything worked its self out! There is no doubt there is no fear. All feelings of being not good enough are gone. All that is not from the Savior but the adversary and once you command him out and make room for the Lord nothing else matters. It's all smooth sailing from there. I know that God will also bless you. I keep you all in my prayers and I feel close to you at all times. I truly feel the love of the Savior and know that his love is not just for me but for all of ya'll. I love you so much and hope that you all are happy and progressing in the church and in life. The Lord cant guide what’s not moving:) have a good week till next week .... Love Sister Ferguson

Hey when you write me could I maybe get the 5 day weather report that would be so helpful you have no idea. :) And Rebecca there's and Elder Mossner here from Switzerland, but he said If I could get you to write him a hand written letter he would give me Swiss chocolate so if you could help a sister out that would be nice:) Hey so package Ideas... Don’t feel the need but I've had people ask what to send. Gum is not allowed so mints, lifesaver mints, cinnamon rolls..., My immunization record so I don't have to get the shots again would be really really nice!!!!, Cookies are always welcome, Could I also get a ward directory and maybe a gray and Ferguson directory that would be nice to write the family.

week 2

Hey how is everything going on the home front???? Hope its all going well.
Time here flies so fast it seems like it was yesterday that I emailed so I'll try to remember what all happened. We saw Thurow Balley here he talked to the 6'9 elder in out district. Well we adopted a district that only had two people in it, Elder Gram and Warner. They are really fun and we all get along really well.
Oh so Gym is the best thing that has ever happened, We play kick ball, volleyball and basketball. All are good!!!! I got hit in the face with the volleyball again this week. This time I had blood in my mouth and a little shade of a bruise on my face. It went away really fast, like that day it was gone. The cool thing about that was I managed to hit it again with my face to keep it up in the air and my team mate hit it over the net and we got the point!!! When you have to wait in line for your turn because they play weird here (its called King of the court) you don't mess around with dropping the ball! Then the next day I was like Gym time again volleyball.. Heck no David Blane. I'm going to play kick ball ... I'm the pitcher... mostly because I can catch but any how the Elder kicking the ball set it right back to me and it hyper extended my fingers. I finished the game but it took a good two hours to get the feeling back in my middle finger lol. Thats been the only injuries that were caused by the Elders ... I however did hit the basketball in my own face and had to pop my jaw back into place. Maybe gym isn't my sport but I still love it!!!
So I have bruises on my knees with calluses to match !!! I'm a reall missionary now ... not that I wasn't before now I have bruises to prove it.
So in the morning we do SYL which is Speak your language it's so much fun we do it from 6:30 to 8 so through A-Bom reading and breakfast. Elder Reece (who is way funnier than I will or could ever be) always runs out of Armenian to say so randomly he will burst out with "I KNOW JOSEPH SMITH IS A PROPHET!!!" (in Armenian) as a desperation wanting to say something it's funny.
We get to see the spoken word on Sundays and they sang the Battle of Jerico. Now you must under stand we can't listen to music here .... so that was the closest thing to Babylon music I've came to in a long time. It was so wonderful!!!
We have really good spirit here, I have never felt so happy as I do here. Classes are wonderful the only time I'm not learning is when I sleep. We have the teachers for like 8 hrs a day and when they're not there we're studying. The only problem is there just isn't enough time so we study when we walk and eat and then when you brush your teeth and getting ready in the morning you put words through Genitive and Simple Present and on and on. No time to doubt all My efforts goes to the Lord, I don't have time to doubt for faith and doubt can't exist at the same time.
Know that I love you and think of you often. All my love
Sister Ferguson
Hey it would be easier to think of you and love you more if I could remember what you look like .... even old family photos would be really cool!!! Love you and hope to remember what you look like some day :) love love love

Sister Lisa loves you!

Hey fam. everything here is going good I cant even tell you how much I love it here the spirit is so strong. Elder L. Tom Perry came and talked to us Tuesday it was something special. Hey so in Relief Society we get taught by the big shots like the primary president and the MTC president wifes. It's really cool.
So last week I learned how to teach and pray and pretend to know the language it was fun not going to lie.. and while doing my laundry some how I ended up with mens underwear in my bag... Don't want to know, don't need to know but now I have it and I can throw it away. LOL

I really love it here my comps are so wonderful the whole zone is good I know the Savior loves me and I can't even tell you the joy I have getting to serve here. I can't wait until I get on the field . Hey so Christmas in Armenia is Jan 6ths so I get Christmas twice this year! Yay me lol. Hope all is well at home. You all are in my prayers and I really do feel the love you all have for me. If you use dearelder.com it gets to me faster and it's so so good. I can print my emails but pictures wont show up, sad I know . I really wish I would have brought some pictures. love love Sister Lisa Ferguson - my times almost out so I got to go ....I have callouses on my knees from praying so much I'm official a missionary lol love love
