I'm in Heaven!!!!!!!

Family!!!!!!!!

Had just such a good day yesterday!!! We went to church met the new branch and they are all just wonderful. The Branch President is one of the strongest people here that I've met! We had Choir after!! That’s right they have choir here, who knew. So after lunch we went and took a bus to get to our area (we live in the across the street from the Zone Leaders and we are in there area. It’s a 20 min walk to our area) But to try to learn the area we just take a bus and ride it till it stops then we do the 2 hr walk home :) it’s really fun.
Yesterday we got 41 conversations in only like 4 hours, two random meetings, and 4 new investigators, and 2 new people to contact to teach. This will be known as my Miracle day!!! Everything just worked out so well! On the walk back home I felt like I was walking on air. Happiest I've ever felt, nothing could go wrong.

It’s so cool up here! Your all in the heat now it feels so nice up here I wake up almost just a little cold and it’s so good!!!! I sleep with a thick sheet and its perfect (no AC). Last week when I told you I was getting transferred to heaven I wasn't joking I really am here. When we walk around it’s so stinking green I feel like I'm in a pixar movie. It’s so beautiful. I'm with my MTC companion Sister Cornwell so we all ready knows each other and know that we get along great!

The lady and her family that we picked up as our new investigators are so good. We met her because her Dad was so excited that we knew English because his daughter spoke English and studies languages in school so he takes us home with him and his wife. We get there and they have a huge family and they are all in love with us. We talk English and Armenian: intermixed for a while then we shared Alma 7: 11-14 it’s a good thought about Christ and the Atonement. They loved it the girl showed us her arm she had Goosebumps all over and they were like you have to come back and teach us more you have to come back. So we got there number and they all took ours. LOL funny side note so everyone here has a nice cell phone but live in an old train cart a lot of the time or an old School that has been turned into free housing.

The people here are so ready for the gospel and the members are so strong and really want to help the missionaries. They have a few people here that have missionaries out. One’s at Temple Square and they had a lesson about doing service and it was brought up that the missionaries here are like your daughters on missions… I’ve never been so hugged and kissed in my life!!!!!!!!! They were all crying looking at us like they were going to eat us or feed us but I was surprised I made it out alive. Lol but it was really cool to see them all so supportive of us here.

I can’t even tell you how close I feel the Lord here I’m the happiest I’ve ever been every day we come in and I just want to go out again. The Language is getting better I can get out almost everything I want to say. The trick is to speak slowly and simply. Just like it says in the Book of Mormon by small and simple things God does great things.

Love you all have a good week HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

Everyone has to hug and kiss Mom for me J thanks lots of love.

Hot so hot and getting hotter

Hey fam!

This week was way good!!! I really liked the 15th Tuesday. We had our baptism of Anaheat she is a stud!! I'm so excited for her I know that she is so good for our branch. Her daughter now wants us to start teaching her. On that same day Tuesday Sister Christensen and I celebrated our 125th day Anniversary. I was going to make a pie but forgot lol. We have been together since February 9th. We just had transfers so well be together for a while longer; well hit our 150th day together. I can’t tell you how grateful that I am that she and I get along so wonderfully!! Ok so we’ve been with each other 24/7 for almost 6 months and we still have things to talk about and have never gotten into a fight! We have gotten into disagreements but only like 3 or 4 and we can all ways find a happy ground for both of us.
Speaking of pie I've been saving an Oreo pudding form Jenny that I got back in Feb for my birthday and on Wednesday I finally get to eat it!!!! I’ve been eyeing it for a long time.

Well let’s see I’m going to go the Zoo on Wednesday it will be way fun. We’re ending our P-day two hrs early today @ 4. So that way we can go 2 hrs to the zoo on my birthday. I’ll have my camera by then and I’ll send you pics.

This week we walked around a lot!! That’s what happens when you lose your good investigators to the waters of baptism … It’s really a bitter sweet moment. NO it’s all good. I’m glad that they get baptized. But one good thing is ya really do find new people and they are really fun!!! Like this old grandma that took us home with her and had “old timers” (don’t actually know what it’s called) so she would fill up our cups lol not because they were empty but because she forgot that she had just given us some lol!!!! So funny, had the same talk about her kids over and over again. By the 5th time I could understand everything she was saying it was great!

I ate a worm this week, I didn’t like it and after I found it I tried really hard not to eat another one. The lady that is in our branch was feeding us and the food was way good. But she gave us this cherry drink with wormy cherries it was a little disheartening finding the first one. Then I saw that I had already ate a few. So I just kept going lol I figured they had been cooked at one point so they were dead and somehow not as bad right?…I think we call that protein. I did hide a few while she wasn’t looking lol I’m good at making it look like I’m eating when I’m not.

I don’t think I’ve told you about Zippy! He’s my best friend I keep him in my bag and when the people here try to make me eat nasty food I wait till there not looking and slip it in Zippy then on the walk home I feed it to the dogs I see. I’m so good at slipping food and chewing my tongue that my comp didn’t even know I was doing it till she asked where I was getting the food for the dogs. I know that’s odd to be proud of how I cannot eat but it’s harder than you think!

Well let’s see what can I tell you that you don’t know and won’t be boring. We have a stalker, Lol well he’s our investigator he lives forever a way and we’ve gone to his house like twice and he LOVES my Queer. He calls us every day in fact he called me at 1:46 am last night! I didn’t answer I just turned off the phone and went back to sleep. I wanted to call him at 6:30 when I woke up just to ask “What’s up?” My Queer is a much better person then me and said no. I don’t know what’s going on with this guy. His family is was nice he just calls for no reason ALL the time. It’s frustrating because if we don’t answer he calls and calls till we pick up most days I end up turning off my phone. It would be one thing if he really wanted to learn more but he’s not really interested in the church so I don’t know what he’s up to. We would love to give him to the Elders but there aren’t any here to give him too. We may have to in port some from a close by area.

It’s really hot here I used spf 85 and was burnt before lunch. So I put more on and was fine for the rest of the day. But I tell you what it gets hot here when we’re walking around all day. The other day we walked for 6 hrs because everything fell through it was way sad. But it’s seems that it happens like this one day you’ll have more meetings then we have time for and the next no one is home.

Happy Birthday Eileen!!!!

Well should get going love love Queer Fergie

Hot summer

June 14, 2010

How is my beautiful family this week? Hope all is going just wonderful with ya’ll. The mission fare well sounded like fun. I got a letter from Ryan telling me about his mission call, you’ll have to get his address and send it to me. I have his home but not his mission. He was so good in our mission prep class! He really will make a stud of a missionary.

So I have to ruff it sometimes here like with no power and cold showers but not all that often I’m really lucky when it comes to that. One of the senior couples doesn’t have my luck. They haven't had water for like 3 days it was sad to because we had Elder Scott come and they couldn't shower. But they still looked way nice. Some of the Elders have gone like a week or so with our water. (Sisters aren’t in that area anymore luckly!)

p.s. Elder Scott is Amazing!!! We had a meeting for all the full time missionaries so there were only about 40 of us there and they had all the sisters sit in the front. There are only 8 of us so that wasn't hard. They did the meeting like a Sunday school class. Elder Rasband the corm of the 70's president said one of the sisters needs to come up and extended a Baptism commitment for this roll play. No one was going up, I don't even know how it happened but I was up there giving a baptism commitment in front of not only all the missionaries in the whole mission (that alone scares me), Elder Rasband, Elder Powell the area 70 over us, and Elder Scott. Not going to lie I was a little scared. But it went over ok and I went back to me seat and didn't die I was sure I was going to when I was up there. I forgot how hard it was to teach a lesson in English! I kept almost slipping into Armenian the whole time.

Elder Scott was so cool he had us move all the chairs so that we only had like 5 rows and we could all be closer. He also did a question answer session where we could ask advice and really deep questions. I have no doubt that he is an Apostle of the Lord. Hearing him teach and talk like that there is no way he couldn't be. It was also really cool to be able to get into that deep meat of the Gospel with an Apostle in a setting like that. I know that, it was a once in a life time opportunity and I am so grateful for it!

This week has been slower. My Queer was still really sick, (she is doing good now). It’s really hot here!!! They say that August is a beast here... I may not live. LOL no it will be fine as time goes on I get used to the hot and it’s not so bad. I do have the rocking missionary tan lines I’m sporting them early this year! I have the really tan top of the foot, with a white strip where the strap on my shoe covers. Then I have a neck line like you would not believe (all my shirts hit the same place on my arm and neck so I just look ridiculous).

But I’m in Armenia so I don’t mind and I’ll lose it all this winter and get back before I can get tan again so no harm done.

So I should tell you I really wonder about myself some times. lol I got my hand stuck on something new this time; but still just as bad. This time it was to the freezer. It’s been really hot so I bought some ice trays to get some ice (and to make popsicles). But my hand was wet and I was putting it into a really old metal freezer that we let get way to cold. My finger touched the metal and then would not come off!! I had to yell for my comp to hurry and get some warm water and poor it over my hand to get it back up. But I have the worst burn on my hand that I’ve ever had! I had no idea that an old freezer could hurt that much! So now I’m really careful. I really don’t want to know what I’ll get my hand stuck to in my next area!

It’s almost my Birthday, crazy I really didn’t think I would make it to age 22 I don’t really like it! lol I see myself and just think who is that old woman looking back at me! I am excited though I really do love my Birthdays I’m willing to get old to have more of them so what can I do? How is every one this is the birthday months after all. You’ll have to send me pics of all you do.

Have fun love you lots Sister Fergie

I made a cop friend!

Hey family how is everything going??? Everything here has been fun. Not much has been going but it did get way hot!!! Like almost 100 f. In some places it’s been 104 so crazy and they said that August is the beast of it all. The roses have come out. It’s so beautiful, they let the rose bushes climb the buildings and it looks so good. But is just too hot, So I'm happy I only have one Summer here, in the winter ya can layer up but they have no AC here so that makes it harder to cool down. Good thing they have good ice cream.
Lets see I went on my first splits this week, I got so sun burnt I had on SPF 30 and still fried. But I really liked splits the Queers don't get to do it all that often and I was so far away that I didn't get to do it before so it was nice to get to.

Well I'll tell you about my Sunday it was the first time we went out of the house it was way good to get out!!! So we are at fast and testimony meeting and this old lady gets up and does her testimony and after she was done she comes back. She starts to do this Armenian wink... (It’s with two eyes instead of one) at some of the members then when they don't go up she does a nice Grandmotherly nudge to go up and a smile ... then when that didn't work she got more bold! It went from a wink to a nudge to a poke to a poke with a hymn book ... to a slapping and yelling at them to go up with the hymn book flying around!!! I laughed so hard!!!! Then she winked at me... I've NEVER ran up so fast to do my testimony in my life! Sister Christensen died but I wasn't going to get beat in church!

Tuesday we had Queer lunch all the Queers in the mission and Sister Dunn (the mission presidents wife) we all went out to lunch and it was way fun!

I have some girls staring at me right now lol I just looked up and they looked away really fast lol lol it’s still funny to me when that happens. I had one lady that was sitting by me start asking me questions really really fast... I hope she was speaking Russian because I have no idea what she said to me at all! She even slowed down and said it again... ya I'm going with Russian.

So Elder Scott comes this week!!! With Elder Rasband, and our area 70. I'm way excited. We get a meeting with him on Saturday that’s just us 40 missionaries. Then we get the Sunday one that we're hoping to get 800 to come to. We have been working really hard and I really think that we'll get the 800 to come. It should be so good! Elder Holland came three years ago.

So we got a referral from the MTC how crazy is that? My Companion and I went to her house and gave her the video she wanted then she got a hold of them again and asked for a Book of Mormon so we'll be going back and seeing her again. It was way random and really cool to get one.The last referral from America was like 3 years ago.

Well that’s all for now hoping your week goes well. OH I almost forgot so I saw something that made me go WOW. Know no many things here have done that!!! But I saw a clothes line with washed and hung disposable dippers on it. I died a little when I saw it! And really almost went and bought them reusable dippers or the cloth ones something!!!! But I didn’t know the people and that would have been really weird.

Well that’s all I got love love have a good week!!!!!!!!!!!
