I probably shouldn't play with dogs...

Hey family!!! How has all been going? This week has been weird to say the least lol. So I do really well to not to get sick or myself in trouble as Mom’s instructions. I should tell you, remember when I was little and I was allergic to the dog but I would play with them anyway till it finally went away b/c I got used to the dog… I don’t think that will work here. Lol there are dogs everywhere! The other day 11 were fallowing us around. Normally we only have like 4 or 5 that will walk with us to the bus stop in the morning. But I always want to pet them so my comp and I worked out a deal I can pet them if I do 50 man push ups that night. Well Saturday we where walking and I saw the cutest puppy and you’ll be so happy I didn’t touch it, I almost did. We went to a members house and she is very clean and so is her dog, so my comp lets me hold it and play with it… Turns out the same thing that sagebrush does to me that dog did lol By the time I got home I couldn’t see out of my right eye so I took some drugs and went to sleep. When I got up I couldn’t see out of either eye lol. It went away after some more meds but I have this strong feeling that was the last time I will be playing with a dog. Some times things just aren’t worth it. So this week I had the flu it wasn’t too bad. It hit hard for 2 days and I had to have the Elders come and give me a blessing but we really only had to go in early from work, we were still able to go out. Lol I lost 6 kilos being sick for 2 days that like 13 lbs but it was all water after day 2 I could hold chicken broth down. Don’t worry about the weight most of it came back, between chocolate waffles here and the bueno bars I’m doing a good job of keeping the weight on.

So we have these two new investigators, one is 14 and she is a ball full of it she would give Jennie a run for her money any day lol I love her to death. The Elders found them, but how it worked out is we took them from them. Sometimes Sisters are just needed. But we started teaching the Mom and daughter at the church. We watched part of the Joseph Smith movie in Armenian and the Mom started to cry. She felt the spirit so strong and even prayed with us. When we asked the daughter about her feelings and if she would pray she said no. We asked her why and she said there is no God so why pray… that I was not expecting. Lol but we are working with them the Mom is my hero! She missed the appointments with the Elders, so she just shows up to the church on Friday. Luckily we were teaching English so we where there and we taught the first half of the first lesson. Then they came back Saturday to have us teach them again and that’s when we watched the movie and taught and prayed. Then if that’s not cool enough they came to Church the next day!!! Bless the Moms heart the daughter did not want to come in and sat in the hall the whole time they were there. It was so good to have them come and really give the church a try. LOL So our investigator is there she barely know there is a Book of Mormon we helped her say her first prayer and the Elders had like 5 boys they found on the street that were all there that they haven’t taught yet and the Sunday school lesson was on the law of chastity… but even the boys liked the lesson and our investigators too. I was terrified the whole time that they were going to walk out of the church and not come back. I need to learn that God knows best because he does!!!

Rebecca your 14 I was wondering if you could help a “Sister” out will you email me how you know God is real and what helps you with the church? And some trials you have faced with life and how the church mostly God has helped you with it? I was prying to know what to do, and you keep coming to mind so if you could send that to me I’ll love you forever!!!
Thanks for all you do for me.

Mom last week’s photo was outside a member’s house. But we do hang our cloths to dry there is no such thing as a Dryer here. The maid hangs up our laundry in our spare room we have a big apartment but we only need two rooms out of the whole thing.

Love you all hope your week is good Queer Fergie

ps that one pic is not my apartment it's a random building

1st is Elder Wainright and Saranush in the church kitchen

My apartment …
little boy that I love to death!!!! I want to find a way to take him home with me.

Elder Wainright, we were at a members house chopping wood. (That’s the front room of her house. In the winter they only live in a room or two of their houses and store wood in the other parts of the house.)

This is what I shower out of. There is rust in it which makes things fun. We fill this up at night and heat it so that in the mornings when we don’t have water we can still shower.

This is right below the pic of our bock where we shower.
This is our kitchen. We have to go through 3 sets of doors to get to this point.
Our toilet is by the front door and they build a wall in between it and the rest of the bathroom oddly. So the tub and sink is on the opposite side of the house, in a wing by the kitchen so we have to go though 5 doors to wash our hands after going to the bathroom lol it's just funny

last is my bedroom where we sleep. it just a little box thing with a bunch of blankets on it to make it soft. And a little foam pad thing under it all …I really don’t know what I sleep on but it's soft and I sleep well so that’s all I care about.

We are real wilderness exploreres!

So today my comp and I helped this old lady cross the street so now were are real wilderness explorers!!!!!!!!!!

How is everyone doing? Hey so I'm going to send you a CD with a video on it and a bunch of pictures. I couldn’t get it to go on my blog but I’ll try again next week. If not look in the mail for it, afterwards give it to Lori because she’s keeping stuff like that for me safe till I get back.

My first Zone Conference it tomorrow and I’m going to be teaching with my Queer about unity. It should be really fun. She told me that she thinks I’m the youngest to teach in a Zone conference in our mission. I have no idea what that means but it sounds cool. Tonight we are getting the Gorgan Elders coming for the night to stay with our Elders for Zone Conference tomorrow so were having a FHE with all of them tonight at a members house. This member is so cool! Saranosh has taught me so much Armenian!!! She doesn’t know English but she has served over 3 years total as a Min missionary for our mission. She is incredible!!! She can mock us like no one ever could lol it's so funny. She has the bad new missionary accent down. And pulls it out when ever we say something really wrong love her face.

Ok so you almost didn’t get an email today Rebecca put a Video of Conner on her Blog and I think I watched it like a million times it was so cute!!!!

This week has gone super good, been having a lot of fun. I can have little conversations with people and I’m understanding more and more of what everyone has been saying. Oh its funny so I’ve always known when they talk about me but now I know what there saying but they don’t know I know. lol we will be in the middle of our lesson and we'll ask if they have any questions. They ask me if I dye my hair blond … not what I was going for but what ever. lol I just pretend I don’t know what they are saying when they go off about how white I am and what color my hair is. It works out well lol. I can also tell you when someone is talking Russian. mostly because that’s what everyone talks to me in. I am no longer American but Russian lol there is a Russian base here and a lot of soldiers so they think I’m with them.

Mom the pics you sent of dad were way way cool I showed my District and they thought it was the coolest thing ever! Hey I’m having a hard time getting the video to come up so I’ll have my Elder send you and Rachel a link to his blog and you can look it up from his. Rachel maybe you can transfer it to mine I don’t know how that works but maybe.

Oh Mom my comp is from Idaho, Sister Fisher. to email you I go to a place that we pay for time to email on a computer. They have them all over the place. And a Beno bar is the best candy in the whole world. We get them from Mexico when we go and in Canada. It’s a kinder candy that they just don’t sell in the U.S. as much. Lori and Eileen should know what they are. Hey Mom could you email my mission pics to me that would be way cool if you could.

So they don’t so much have milk here, and we have cereal and I just eat it with water and I sprinkle some powdered milk on the top for fun. We don’t have a lot of that here so I only use a little. It's way funny to see how different things here are but at the same time it feels like home and is totally normal.

Dad you email was way cool! I loved the pics I got from Mom. You’ll have to send hard copies in a letter sometime and send it to me. Hey so you remember when you were on a mission and you got sick from all the soap on the dishes? I don’t have to worry about that … they don’t use soap here on there dishes just rinse 3 times and its good lol no joke. I laughed so hard when I saw that.

Hey miracles still happen!

Hey family I always forget to tell you so I’ll just tell you now Rachel made me a blog its LehitoArmenia.blogspot.com [obviously you realize this] and she does a really good job of putting my emails up fast so anyone that wants to read that can. Also anyone can email me at Sisterlisaferguson@myldsmail.net and I can email anyone. By far the best bet if someone wants to know how I’m doing.

But how is life on your side of the world? Over here is really awesome! I’m happy to say I got a few hats and never take them off so I don’t have to dye my hair. I really like the area a lot!!! We have a husband and wife that we teach and they come to church every Sunday they say they used to not like to come, but now they can't help but come. They are so ready for the Holy Ghost in their lives. Their son is on his mission any I can just see so many blessings that it has brought their family. The only thing stopping the husband from getting baptized is he had a problem stopping smoking. First miracle, he got sick and smoking made him throw up so he stopped!!! Second, they really just needed to have a good lesson so we could show them how important it was to get the Spirit. Well what my comp does with me is we plan out the lesson, I start it out and say all I can and then some. She bares testimony on what I said clarifies it a little when needed then I bare testimony and start teaching the next point in the lesson. Sister Fisher is really good to listen to what I say to make sure what I’m wanting to say is understandable in Armenian. Well I was talking and a few sentences came out that I have no idea what I said and nether did she! So Sis Fisher stops me and asks me to repeat what I said so they would know. I couldn’t even remember the thought I had at the time nor could I tell you the words that came out of my mouth so he asks “what their names mean in English?” Susanna and Resurrection “Do you know what she just said?” and both at the same time, started talking and saying the exact same thing that I was talking about! Christ ministry and all the miracles he performed for the people and how he helped mankind so much. So just to let you all know I’ve never thought about Christ ministry nor do I know how to!!! I still can't if you were to ask me what they heard was pure mumbles coming out of my mouth but the Spirit was teaching them about Christ and how wonderful his life was. Crazy how all type of things work out. We'll be running late for an appointment and have to take short cuts and meet people to teach and there is no rhyme or reason for most of the things we do but every thing just always works out!

I made it though all the crazy food at this time of year!!!! I love my life! They have stopped feeding us so much! Between the food here and the fact that they sell Beno bars everywhere for cheap I pretty much have to use my work out time in the morning wisely lol

Mom you and Rebecca asked me about the toilets here so to answer both your questions I do have a flushing toilet… But its how you flush it is different the water doesn’t turn it just goes down. No idea how to explain that, it just does. we only have water sometimes so we fill up a bucket and dump it in the toilet and it makes the water go down when the waters on we don't have to do that we just lift this lever and water pushes it down on its own.

So people have asked about sending me stuff and I’ve asked my “Mommy” Sister Fisher and most families send flat rate packages just though normal mail any other way it gets stopped in customs. Don’t tell them your sending anything expensive just put generic descriptions. Don’t put anything about the church on the out side of packages or letters and just send them to

They really don’t have mail that would come to a house so mission home is the only way but we go down often so I’ll always be able to get my mail when it does get there.
Package ideas if you want to send them once agin don’t feel the need to send any but if you want to that’s ok,
Ranch packets, the flavoring packets are so wonderful! my comp has a little, and there amazing. So onion soup mix, enchilada packets, salsa packets, all are good and they don’t sell stuff like that here or brown sugar oddly enough. We can get veggies like mad, like 4lb of potatoes is .60 not even a dollar. Calcium pills (I might have forgot to bring that)

Pictures are always welcome/needed !!!!

Well love all you so much have a good week tell people to email me.
This is me and my companion with the family I told you about.

This is the thing that goes over the tub and we shower from. It shocked me really hard yesterday, I thought I was going to die! Turns out you have to un plug the heater in it before you use it lol

This is our atempt at cookies... didnt work so well lol

First letter from Armenia!

I love it here! It's so much fun! You all have no idea. So not a big shocker I slept the whole way to Armenia and then the mission president let us sleep for a while longer. Then he took us to look around Armenia, and we saw the heart of Armenia the geniside and the Apistolic temple. We had to take our name tag off for that but it was cool. Then they let us sleep some more and we got up the next day and met our trainers "our mommies" lol Its fun how they make this like a whole family thing.

THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD they didn't tell me this till I got here but my name is to hard to say in Armenian so they changed it to Fergie! No joke I'm Queer Fergie!!!! I've never been so happy! So I would just like you all to know I am the Fergie Ferg lol :)

So they have this thing called a marshrutni and it's like a normal van with 3 or 4 seat in the very back and one seat on one side and two small seats on the other with a "walk way" down the middle and you just pile in and go. Well my teacher told us that the biggest one he had gone in had 22 ppl :) I beat that! We had 30 people! How crazy! no need to even try to stand up. You're just held up without trying and I was by the door. THERE WERE TO MANY PEOPLE TO SHUT THE DOOR!!! So I wasn't one of the people that were hanging out of the van but I was close I held on to my comp so hard lol it was so much fun!!!

So here blond hair and blue eyes are really really pretty. Like the boys just don't know what to do with themselves. The problem comes that every where I go we have problems where we get a lot of the bad kind of attention. we're careful as soon as it gets dark we put our hair under a hat and if any of our appointments cancel on us we have to just go home we cant stay out. So I'm going to see if it dies down a little. I'm new to the town and they should start leaving us alone if not I'll end up dying my hair dark so I'll blend in a little better.

My apartment is really big compared to the rest of Gymeri. The place I'm in now is where the big earth quake came in 88 so you can look up what it looks like here. It's so pretty! You remember the movie 'Little Lord Fauntleroy'? It looks just like that. The pictures that I saw of Anna Pew, I'm in the same place that she went :) I love it!!

If you want to know what the toilet paper looks like here go to your nearest party store and get some brown or gray crate paper and ya that what we use ... no joke its crate paper. ... works better than you would think lol.

It's nadari here and that is their big holiday! like they take out loans to pay for this holiday and it takes them all year to pay it off. It's from the 1st to the 12th with Christmas on the 6th but Armenian people can't just not feed you so we get so much Doma and bread... and pastries. If you don't get food they fill your plate ... or if you do get food they fill it fuller and you have to eat or they get offended... I got sick at my first house but It only lasted that day and now I'm ready for round ...12 million! Every house feeds us so much!! My comps said that after the 13th they don't feed ya as much.

This is how it works. They put all their food out on there table and keep it ready for people to come over so if some should show up they can seat them and feed them right then and there. So all their meat cheese and EVERYTHING is put on the table on the 1st and on the 13th they clean it. They don't put the meat away or anything the Elders ate over 12 hr chicken the other day lol. I pray so hard on my food and hope the meat is warm ... it never is but I haven't gotten too sick yet... Dad you would die!!! And all ya have is crate paper if you do get sick so I'm very glad I haven't but I have faith it will happen soon lol :)

we have water where I am and it's warm blessedly warm. Not everywhere has warm water to bathe in.

The spirit is so strong here! I love the people so much, they really have a love for the gospel and they're so ready. I didn't understand their testimonies but I could still feel the spirit so strong! The bishop had me stand up and bare my testimony it went well and I look forward to doing it again. It's to the point I can understand little kids that don't talk fast. But my comp... I'm still working on knowing what shes saying if I try really hard I can a little. Well need to get going. Love you tons Queer Fergie

Mom I'm being way safe no worries for me love you
